Lol its a pointless argument. No SC fan is going to say Davis is better than Lattimore and no Arkansas fan is going to say Lattimore is better than Davis.

Lattimore might be better, but Davis will have a better season. I don't know that he's even better...Davis racked up his stats in what amounts to basically half a season.

Have you seen the OL Lattimore runs behind? Garcia would actually be a pretty good QB if he didn't feel like his neck would be broken on every play.

Lattimore > Davis

My homer pick says Davis;
The numbers say Davis;
But I will not disagree with anyone that has Davis or Richardson as either their #1 or #2. Anything else is laughable....

Lattimore did have an extra game to compile his stats. Now, I know that he was hurt for 2.5 games...but for comparison sake you could really say 1.5 because of the extra game in the SECCG. Add in that he was able to play ALL the teams in the East and all the West backs we are talking about only got to play 3 of them.

Oh, and the O line excuse...Arkansas allowed more sacks than USCe. Everyone thinks their O line is porous unless it is a brick wall, neither of ours were a brick wall.

It depends on your definition of best.

I'm a numbers guy so I gotta go with KD.

Stars and hype doesn't mean shite if it's not translating on the field.

Knile Davis is the best returning running back in the SEC next year. His numbers are better than anyone else's. Potential and talent don't mean shite if you don't get it done on the field. By this notion, Jeff George and Ryan Leaf were the two best quarterbacks ever.

Throw how many games played out of the window, Davis had 25% less carries than Lattimore with more yards. The lower touchdown total is simply because they threw touchdowns too. Richardson could have an argument here but Lattimore doesn't.

Hell, I would put Dyer above Lattimore. 100 yards less than Lattimore on almost 70 less carries.

Can we wager on that? You obviously have no idea what Nicko will do or has done in the past. Look at MI this season. When he got healthy, his touches were still down even after those 2 monster games.
Here are their respective stats... Make of it what you will. he had 56 touches in 7 games. So who is getting all of MI's touches from last season? With the same number of TD's and more YPC, I say he is setting himself up nicely. Like I posted, his only downside is fumbles from what I saw in high school.
Name G Rush Yds Y/G Avg Lng TD
Mark Ingram 11 158 847 77.0 5.4 54 13
Trent Richardson 11 112 681 61.9 6.1 65 6
Eddie Lacy 7 56 401 57.3 7.2 62 6

That is not Saban's style AT ALL. You can take that to the bank.
