His road record falls to 4-21 after tonight. How does he still have a job? If the Hogs fail to make the NCAA tourney this year, is he done?

he's back no matter what because the only issue up until now is that we haven't had players talented enough to pass to the open man and box out for rebounds. the #1 super recruiting class of all time will fix that.

SEC basketball in general is just terrible. We need to bring some swagger back to a once proud basketball conference.

Agreed, but the coaches we have other than B. Donovan ain't get the swag to get it done!

Yes, two road wins occurred that year...

It seems to be a fact of life....Pel won't be fired until he has without a doubt, 100% demolished our program to the point of complete decimation. Oh wait.....
Obviously Long's goal is to see just how low the bottom really is.

damn good question.
Long has to realize by this point that keeping Pel is a terrible business decision. i'd say around our 20 lowest attended games have happened on Pel's tenure.

Just because the west sucks, it doesn't mean that the SEC sucks. It is just the inverse of football this year.
Vandy, GAg, KY, Florida and even TN are solid teams.
I wonder if the east is going to sweep the west again in basketball this year.

Arkansas already beat Tennessee

His dick is short but it sure is skinny....
He's got a once-in-a-decade recruiting class in hand for next year (#3 last i saw), so i'm sure he's safe regardless of how bad this year goes...within reason. Long won't risk losing those much heralded in-state recruits.
This sucks. We suck. I miss being competitive. I feel like Georgia.

Sadly, even with that recruiting class, I can't see Pelphrey doing much.
Its a shame, really. The AD has a cash cow just waiting for someone to MFN DO SOMETHING.
shite.
Do they not realize how rare it is to have a program that can command 18k fans at home games?
All it takes is a little bit of decent effort and a few wins. I saw it with Heath. Win a few SEC games, and not look like complete and utter shite, and Arkansas basketball fans are back, loud, packed house.
As it stands, they are seriously running the risk of alienating a great fanbase. Apathy has already set in. I went to about 3 games last season. I have no desire to go to more games. There just isn't any effort. The coaching is horrible. Its a giant Failmonster.
It really blows my mind how far this program has fallen, and how long it has stayed down.
People have maintained their season tickets, hoping that it gets turned around.
I guess its going to take season average crowds below 10k to get the point across.
Its pathetic and unnecessary.

Nolan took care of that a long time ago. He built the program to a new height and tore it down nearly as quick.

It is rather embarrassing that we account for one of their 4 road wins.

There's still no excuse whatsoever for us losing to teams like Ole Miss (not a flame) or MSU in basketball.
Don't even get me started on the UAPBs, etc that have become all too common.
It wasn't long ago that a loss in BWA was extremely rare. Now, its almost expected.
It takes a special level of incompetence to fail so miserably as a basketball coach in Fayetteville. Fans give a shite. Fans get loud. Fans will show up if you give them even the smallest reason to.
Nolan did well and it might never be duplicated, but hell, what's stopping us from at least rising back to Sutton levels? I mean seriously, What.. The.. frick?
