I'm not saying either way BUT

DJ Williams was ruled down in the Sugar Bowl in the first picture and Dyer was ruled not down in the second picture.

The whole "Front of the wrist or back of the wrist" thing is STUPID.

They are either both down or both not down, IMO.

No, one touched with the back of his wrist which is considered his arm, plus it was his ball hand.

The other touched with the hand side of his wrist, which is considered his hand because it's the bottom of his hand. Plus it wasn't his ball hand.

This isn't hard to figure out.

Sorry you think the rules are stupid but the correct call was made and only a moron like you would try to argue it. WAR DAMN EAGLE! I'll enjoy watching you and the rest of the rednecks cry for the next 8 months.

No, it is not. If it's your palm that means that you are just catching yourself and keeping your balance to stay up. If it's the back of your hand/wrist it means youve been taken to the ground by another person because people don't catch themselves with the back of their hands. Adams was down, Dyer wasn't

This is the play I was thinking about but didn't remember what game it was.I totally agree with the front or back of the wrist. Either both are down or neither are down.

bamachick, I believe that the biggest difference between those 2 plays was that for the Arkansas player, his wrist that was holding the ball was the one that was on the ground while in the Auburn game, his wrist that was not holding the ball was touching the ground. I believe that the rule differentiats between the 2 which is why it wasn't called in one game and was called in the other game. I could be wrong, but I do believe that this was why it was called against Arkansas and not against Auburn.
