Ok so I just watched a replay of the safety in the game and I don't get why all of the OSU fans are getting huffy about it. It would have been forward progress if the guy would have just went down but when he broke loose for the brief moment and ran a couple steps it was still considered a live play therefore the safety is legit IMO...not that it matters.

Should have not been a safety. Same exact thing happened in the Auburn-LSU game and it wasn't called. I wonder why.

Atrocious officiating last night.

That was clearly forward progress. Also, I remember a big play for OSU where the player ran out of bounds on the first possession and was smoked by an Arky dude about 5 yards on the sidelines. They also missed a ton of Ohio State holds when Arkansas was blizting.

Initially I thought it wasn't a safety, but now I do.

That safety was one of the worst calls I've seen this year...

It was a safety by the rule but I thought the officials should have called forward progress and stopped the play. Id say 90% of the time in the same situation the officials would have marked it at the 2 or 3.

That was a terrible call just like the one against Kodi Burns in the LSU game.

It was a bad call and it definitely SHOULD NOT have been called a safety.

Auburnites would make terrible officials. That was proven when every one of you tractor-driving backwaters said there was nothing illegal with this mugging.

The runner was clearly under the control of the tacklers and was PUSHED BACK into the endzone where he broke free (and we don't know if that was when the whistle was blown). If he had been breaking loose from the tackle in the field of play, and run into the endzone under his own power, forfeiting his forward progress, THEN it would have been a legitimate safety.
