based on what? Why is he better?

I've explained this a bunch of times, keep up. Plus, any half wit can tell Newton is by far better by watching the two play.

quote:

true but when Kearse was being covered by a good CB he went cold. (see Nebraska game)

And Darvin Adams didn't? Adams and Kearse had similar seasons, actually Kearse slightly better. Don't see a difference in the 2. Adams did nothing against good corners.

quote:

I'd take Dyer and Adams over Polk and kearse all day every day.

I wouldn't. I don't really see a difference in the combo. Kearse and Polk are easily as good as Adams and Dyer. All numbers together they look very similar as well.

Also Auburn's Offense as a whole is better.

Mostly because Newton is by far a better QB.

quote:

Injuries aren't good reasons?

He's had excuses for everything throughout his career. He just isn't very good. Why do you think he dropped from just about everyone's #1 overall player at the beginning of the season clear out of everyone's Top 10/15?

quote:

plenty of people are just not as the top qb.

Where? I havent heard about him since the beginning of the season.

quote:

couldn't disagree more. I still think he will go in the 1st as does every mock draft.

With the season he had there's a good chance. He started so high on everyone's board he may not. But he's FAR from being a Top 10/15 pick everyone seemed to think he was pre-season.

quote:

either you haven't watched him or you have a serious grudge against him.

Neither. I have watched him and he just isn't a very good passer. FIFTY-FOUR percent career completion as a 4-year starter. Never above 60% in any one season. There's no way of explaining that as anything but pretty bad.

quote:

same thing people said about Tebow and Mccoy.

You just listed 2 QBs that were way better in college than Locker has been.

quote:

oesn't take dropped passes into account and other factors

Every QB deals with drops. The "other factors" are he's just not very accurate.

quote:

Geez you really hate Locker. Agree to disagree.

Stating facts is not hating anything. Fact is Newton stats wise was WAY better and clearly by watching the two Newton is a superior passer as well as runner.

in a pro style offense which do you think would be better?

quote:

And Darvin Adams didn't?

agreed he did in every game but Clemson. However, Auburn is a better team and if Darvin wasn't playing well Cam could win the game by himself or use his TE, or #2 WR or even his #3 WR.

Auburn plays better competition. No telling what those players would do vs. weaker competition.

clear out of everyone's Top 10/15?

whose?

every draft website.

stats don't always tell the whole story and I don't think they do in Locker's case. He has had a bad year this year there is no denying that and Wash. in general had a terrible year.

He still has a strong chance to be a 1st rd. pick and some mocks i've seen have him as a top 15 pick.

I don't think we can have a full idea of what Locker is capable of until the Sr. Bowl when he has elite talent around him.
