We might not have Cam but Barrett Trotter looks like he could be a very capable college QB, he has enough talent around him to be a McEroy game manager type. We return Dyer who now has a year of experience in the SEC, Onterio McCalebb, possibly Darvin Adams, Trovon Reed will be playing, Lutzenkirchen, Emory Blake, other talented young recievers who will be getting their first playing time next year. Malzahn just signed a new contract and he has proven he knows how to get the most out of the talent he has. Auburn will still have one of the top offenses in the SEC next year, bank on it.

Who's gonna comprise the AU O-line and D front 7?

Why all the whine? I already forgave Auburn for putting up 65 points on us. Time heals everything.

I think they have to play more than 8 games but I agree. Losing all those seniors and starters is going to hurt.

Ever heard of a question mark? I mean I know an Auburn education isn't worth much, but damn.

Au had one of the best offenses last year. But that only equated to 8-4. The loss of Cam, O-line and road schedule (Ark, UGA, LSU) will be the reason AU only goes 8-4 at best.

The D-Line is going to be good. LB's are a big ? But the secondary will probably be better.

As for the o-line, we will have two guys that started at tackle this year and played well, as well as one or two guys that got significant playing time this year. In addition we have a couple of 4 star o-lineman that redshirted and a couple more coming in. The o-line wil not be as good next year as they were this year, but they will be average to above average in the SEC.

sorry Hoss, but you are basically losing your entire veteran oline that has played together for 3+ years.......this will be as big of a blow to your offense as losing Cam. Seriously.

8-4 would be a monumental success considering the losses in personel you guys face.

FWIW, both of these statement are true.

no they will not. you are trivializing the UNIT of guys you are losing. they have worked together for some time and that cohesion is priceless. Sure, you will coach up some young talent and that is the only reason people aren't saying 5-7.

Auburn's loses a LOT next year.

How am I trivializing that? I think we will go from having the best o-line in the conference, and maybe second best in the country after Wisconsin, to having an average to slightly above average line. I recognize the loss and impact, but some people over state the impact to the point they seem to believe that we will only play with 1 o-lineman next year. With the talent at skill positions and Gus' track record, AU will have one of the top offenses in the conference. We will still lose 3-6 games, but the offensive numbers will be similar to AU in 2009.

Obviously we will take a step back in those areas. The guys on the o-line next year will be good but will take a while to gel and mature and that could easily cost us a couple games. The d-line, even with the loss of Fairley, will be taking a step up in talent next year overall. The LB's are the will be a huge question going into the season. There will be a couple guys going into next year with experience but most of the playing time will go to the young guys who are more smart football players than freak athletes who will need time to get used to major college football but will turn out good. Most of our problems next year will be due to inexperience but in a couple years when this upcoming group of guys are seniors and upperclassmen they will be a much better team overall than this years team
