So under your interpretation, writers determine the rules and who is ineligible?

Nope, the SEC by-laws makes student athlete's ineligible if a family member receives or agrees to receive money or benefits not pertaining to what can be given in the scholarship. I clearly stated that they (the sportswriters) may have decided to abide by the rules made by the SEC.
