This is true, which does make the Heisman kind of a farce.

I totally agree, its a right player on the right team kind of scenario. I mean just look at when Jason White and Troy Smith won the heisman, neither was deserving, but both were on teams that would be in the National championship...though both would lose so, so much for that

The Heisman isn't kind of a farce. It is a farce. If you really want a good measuring stick of the best players at their respective positions or overall, look at the Lombardi, the Maxwell, the Nagurski, etc. If you want the biased opinions of a bunch of old college players and ESPN, then the Heisman is just for you
