NOLA gets a bad rap. Yeah, there are bad parts, but every city has slums. And unless you're an idiot, it's pretty obvious which parts you should stay away from. They also have some of the best food in the entire Southeast. I've never had a bad experience in New Orleans.
I could live without all the "who dat" garbage, however.
