The city of Tuscaloosa's growth rate of 18.5% from 2000 to 2009 was very similar to Auburn's. Does that make Tuscaloosa a great retirement spot? According to your criteria, it does.
You asked if there was any evidence that people were actually retiring to Auburn, besides an article naming it a top retirement spot. I offered the population increase merely as evidence that more people were moving there than in the state in general.
Why does it trouble you so much that someone might portray the town wherein your rival school is located in a positive light?
