Ive been to New Orleans, so no need to reply
As for Dallas.....Greenville Avenue is a pretty happening street. SMU co-eds etc...nice little party place.
West End is also a good spot before the Cotton Bowl. Always a great atmosphere when both teams fans are there the night before the game.
The Galleria off of 635 is a good spot to shop. At least that is where my wife likes to go. THey also have an ice skating rink if you feel like breaking your back.
