As an A&M fan, I'd like to play both teams for different reasons.
LSU:
-Old rivalry. This will be the 50th time we will have played LSU
-I feel positive our defense would limit LSU, especially in the red zone. Our CBs have not been beat deep once this year. Where you beat us is throwing over the LBs and on the seams.
-LSU defensive line is a little light in the britches up the middle. I do fear PP7 and Sheppard though. Karnell Hatcher, I do not fear.
-I enjoy an ornery fanbase. I enjoy tailgating with Tiger fans.
Bama:
-Coaching ties with the Bear, Gene and the frickface Franchione.
-I was fairly young the last time we played Bama, and don't really remember their fanbase too well. It's always fun mixing it up with someone you don't know all that well.
-As far as the game goes... well, I don't like the idea of playing a Saban team with a month off. If I want a W, I'd lean towards playing a fairly inept LSU offense and Les Miles on the sidelines over a Saban coached team.
-We do stop the run well, so Bama would need to beat us vertical and over the middle.
In the end, I feel Bama is more talented and has better coaching. Its probably a worse matchup for the Aggie team to play Bama. With that said, I believe I would enjoy Bama company before and after the game.
LSU is just nostalgic, and I want to beat their arse.

our defense would limit LSU
