I couldn't care less if Malzahn ever gets a head coaching job. Hell, I hope you make him OC for life at AU. In his two years on the plains his O has scored an average of 24.5 pts per game against Bama - this is more than 2 touchdowns per game below the average PPG for his O while in AU.

His O isn't "lighting" Bama up. I am of the opinion that Gus is a really good OC, but I am not overly concerned about him. I used him more as an example of someone else that would be better than Nutt, whom I believe to be an over-rated coach.

Besides...anyone not named Stevie Wonder or Ray Charles can see that Cam Newton is the difference in your offense this year - not that the team is better b/c of yr 2. (remember, LSU held you guys to basically 3 points last year and KENTUCKY held you to 14...Cam is the difference, not Gus)

I felt like firing David Cutcliffe was one of the bigger mistakes Ole Miss has made. He kind of reminds me as the college version of Tom Coughlin. He isn't the "sexiest" or "flashiest" of coaches, but his team was usually solid year in and year out. And that says a lot at Ole Miss. I guess Ole Miss got bored with him and his style of play. I'm sure they wanted someone young and energetic who could bring some new life and spark back into the program, which is understandable. However, I still think it was a huge mistake for them.
