Well I don't really care for Malzahn. But I'm not going to give up on a coach after one season or just flat out hate him after one season.
Just like Ed Orgeron...I was all against hiring him. But I supported him...especially the first 2 years at Ole Miss. Then after it showed he couldn't win by the 3rd game of the 3rd season...I was ready to move on.
I'm not going to give up on a coach after one season...plain and simple. Never have.

So you weren't one of the fire Cutcliffe guys?

I understand where you are coming from. Also, Malzahn was more an example of a better option than a specific candidate. I should have positioned it as such.
As for Nutt having one bad year, I agree that's all that has happened so far, but as a Bama fan who can speak from experience, I'd rather read the writing on the wall and pull the trigger if the trending is negative.
My issues with Nutt are:
1) every year you are going to hear his name connected with other jobs. 99% of those are manufactured connections. He isn't really a candidate for those jobs, but he will use this as a chance to get a raise & an extension...most often one that wasn't deserved.
2) he lost to Jax State and Vandy this year. One of those would be bad enough, but both? he should be ashamed for not having Ole Miss better prepared. Should have won both of those games.
3) I can't stand the way he stands on the sidelines with his arms constantly crossed, staring at the field with this unbelieving look on his face. The way he crosses those arms bugs me for some reason.
That's all I got. Carry on.
