not to mention his family was very poor while growing up. he said in an interview that some days some of his brothers and sisters would not eat so that the others could get enough food, and the next day the others would not eat. i cant imagine what a couple million dollar signing bonus could do for a family like that.

I always want to see guys like him and Onterrio go on to the NFL.

Fairley will probably be a top 10 pick at this point. D tackles like him don't come along every draft. Someone will scoop him up quick. Imagine if the Lions picked him up and had Fairley and Suh as their interior on the D line?

most people have him in the bottom half of the 1st rd. but that could easily change.

I would love for that to happen(eventual replacemant for Shaun Ellis), but there is no way he falls out of the top 15 unless he bombs the Wonderlic.

That wouldn't even drop him much farther...

I hate the title of this thread. Because yes.. he will be gone and all the best to him. Where's the lump in throat emoticon...

I'll have to see it to believe it, teams always love these out of nowhere prospects, the words " untapped potential" and "upside" are always thrown around.

Now if the 20th pick comes and he's still on the board, you bet you arse I'll be screaming at my TV for the Jets to trade up, even against my better judgement

As long as there's a draft, there will always "those players"

Seriously though, I do like out of nowhere players with tremendous upside, but I'll take the consistent, 3 year starter almost every time...
