Glad you had fun, Duckie. We had a "mixed" tailgate, with some Tiger alums who now live here. (We let them tailgate with us because her gumbo ROCKS!) Lots of Hog stuff and Purple and Gold in our tent. Same with the tent next to us. Everybody had fun talking football and enjoying a perfect day to be outside tailgating. I love the Tiger fans. So much so that I married an LSU grad. I love it when your fans come here. I wish y'all could play us in Fayettville and get to see our prized stadium. Maybe one day...

Anyway...glad you enjoyed it and were able to see past the message board stereotypes. Most of us love a good time, and we like to show visitors a great time. Welcome back any time.

Yeah....the Hog fans were brutal and heckled us to and from the stadium. But...I've been to every SEC game and pretty much experienced the same thing at every single stadium. It's just the way fans in the SEC have become. I expect it and I don't get all pissy about it. I just keep walking and keep my mouth shut. There were some pretty brutal things being said by a group of younger, drunk fans in several of the tents on the "golf course", but we had several older fans apolgize to us and tell us they were embarrassed by the behavior of those same fans. I thought the calling of the hogs when there was an injured player was low class, but again it didn't surprise me. So, basic truth is, if you're going to go to a road game in the SEC, expect to be heckled by idiots and take it like a man or stay home. What really pissed me off was the f'd up parking situation. At least it wasn't raining and you didn't have to wade through running water and knee deep mud. The stadium is completely a dump. It is an embarrassment to the SEC.

I'm probably not adding anything here, but being heckled and yelled at is no big deal to me. I'm not playing or coaching. I use all of those experiences with my son to show him how to deal with assholes. I actually had several of these dickheads apologize to me, which kind of felt like a mindfrick to me.

Some people are just way too overly emotionally invested. I get it and it is no big deal to me.

But make no mistake, the walk of shame in Arkansas is pretty brutal. I go to this game every other year because my wife is from there, so I have seen my share wins and losses since about 1994. The Auburn walk was a stroll in the park compared to Ark.

Actually, according to a recent SI poll, LSU fans are the rudest in the SEC. Arkansas didn't even make the top 5.

Fans are bad everywhere. As a UA student, I will admit we went a little overboard with some of our actions Saturday, but most of the LSU fans I heckled were quick to strike with a good comeback...which usually led to a good football conversation.

I would like to apologize to the gentleman I walked past after the game. I was feeling a little too good and gave him a "good game" and before he could reply I gave him a "nooooot!" The man was going to be nice...and I have felt terrible since I did it.

There were plenty of idiots on both sides. You can't walk past an LSU fan without hearing Tigerbait. Plenty of drunken Hog fans talking crap too. It's all part of why LR games are so much fun and why I'd like to see the LSU game stay in LR. For the most part people were pretty good. I had some great homemade boudin with some LSU fans. I love that stuff.

Not that it makes it right, but being up there in Little Rock, I would be a bit leary of being a razerback fan and coming to BR next year. Say whatever you want Arkansas fans and defend the actions of your fans after the game all you want, but I can promise you will leave Baton Rouge saying similar things about your experience in Tiger Town.

Doesn't make it right, in fact, it isn't right to sink to that level, but it will happen I promise you. In fact, get ready to hear about alot of "rough" treatment when you come down. I would expect it unfortunately.

Fan bases tend to go in cycles with this stuff like another poster said earlier. It's coming from enough tiger fans experiences after this seasons trip to LR where a good bit are gonna feel like retaliating or at least not defending questionable actions of others.

You can brush that off and say we're "butthurt" and pussified for saying that. And I agree as for as it doesn't bother me. I've taken some hard to swallow loses in places like Gainesville and Auburn and Bama so I'm used to it, that's life in the SEC and I get over it an move on. But I know how our fan's are and I assure you, the kind that hold grudge's will be waiting for you next year in BR.
