Miles' third year at LSU - SEC & National Championship
Saban's third year at Alabama - SEC & National Championship

i'm just saying

Ok what does Louisiana, Florida, and Alabama have in common.

All three states annually rank in the top 10 in states that produce blue chip quality high school players.

These three states have a much more solid recruiting base to work with.

Arkansas on the other hand annually ranks somewhere around 17th-19th.

Saban did do a great job bringing LSU back to glory days, but he also was able to do this with alot of top quality in-state recruits. At Bama, again great recruiting base plus Bama is historically an elite program that entices top recruits.

Urban Meyer--benefited from being in one of the annual top three recruit producing states in the nation, he also had the benefit of Spurrier making Florida into one of the marque programs. A programs name recognition is a coach's biggest asset. Florida St. and Miami being down helped alot as well.

Miles--again great recruiting base plus Saban's championship gave alot of program recognition to recruits.

Petrino is bringing Arkansas back but it takes time. He has what looks like Arkansas' first BCS Bowl Bid. Why wouldn't we be happy.

Stop being a dick with the Saban, Meyer, and Miles did it in 3 years or less. Every job has different things goin on that changes the schedule of things.

Hell 3 years ago we had a monkey with a whistle coaching. To be in a BCS bowl now is a great job.

I think that this has been a very successful season. And to be quite frank, I'd be happy if we did this well on a consistent basis. A NC would be great, and would come with consistently good seasons, but I'm more concerned with getting over the hump.
