Not sure how it is at UF, but at AU, once they get done dumping ice in the whirlpool, taping ankles and filling up water bottles, the training staff usually jumps in on the coach's meeting with the AD.

I hope you aren't being sarcastic with this statement. First of all, it is Athletic Training staff, not sports training staff. The trainers are pretty much always with the team and coaches. You will be suprised how much information the athletic trainers hear. So, actually, people on the Athletic Training staff know a lot more than you realize.

So even though the trainers don't sit in on AD meetings after filling up water bottles (or whatever it is you that you people that have obviously never been associated with a collegiate athletic program think we do). They are part of the staff, and they often know what is going on.

At a place like AU where they have been on staff and with program for a long time...yeah, they are usually in the know as to what coworkers think/feel.
