"Nobody's pointing a finger at Mississippi State for doing anything wrong," Zeit said. "And Kenny has said, 'I had no discussion with Auburn regarding Cam Newton or anybody affiliated with him.' He said, 'I don't know if Auburn has or has not done anything wrong.' He's not pointing a finger at them."

Asked if that meant Rogers is implicating Cecil Newton, Zeit replied, "He's pointing a finger direct squarely at the father."

Still can't believe Auburn just acted like nothing was wrong. Who cares if they can't prove anything, your players dad was just accused of soliciting money for letter of intent from another school.

Why take your glove off and slap the ncaa in the face? Schools are supposed to take allegations extremely serious and play it safe. Ignoring it was just weird.

I still have a really hard time believing that State was the only school Cecil solicited. Why would he try one time and then give up? I guess you could make the argument that the reaction of the State coaches spooked him and made him think his son would lose the chance to play anywhere if he kept going for a pay day, but I just don't see him giving up on that kind of money that easily.

In all my years of watching college football, I have never seen a fan-base bury its head in the sand as bad as Auburn. It is hilarious.

So, does the SEC's and NCAA's inability to take any action in this situation mean that player's representatives (family members) can solicit money at will from colleges as long as the player "doesn't know"????

Auburn has no choice, they have to play Cam, he's their team.
If Cam were a lesser player he would not be playing. Plain and simple.
