Auburn loses to Bama and still might go to big game

ESPN was setting up a scenario where Auburn loses a respectable game to Bama and still plays in the National Championship. Of course that's assuming auburn beats USC. I assume most people know this, but amazingly we might have some positigers who might actually argue LSU is more deserving. Anyway the point was made because of the respect/strength of the SEC that auburn could jump ahead of TCU and Boise even if these 2 teams remain undefeated.

I won't complain if they don't, but they should.

With the negativity surrounding Cam and Auburn right now, would the voters keep Auburn high enough to go if they lose a game?

No, they were dying for a reason to drop us anyway.

Auburn is blatantly playing an ineligible player with a win at all cost attitude. If they actually Cam and lose either of the next two they are done.

quote:Auburn is taking a calculated risk. I'm sure their lawyers are telling them that if Newton is declared ineligible they (AU) have a reasonable argument for playing him based on what they (AU) know about his recruitment. They're figuring they won't be penalized any more for playing him than for sitting him, were he to be declared ineligible.

Sounds like Auburn is confident they're clean and have a reasonable argument for playing a guy most folks think is not.
If this is not the case and they're "All in" for spite, then their entire administration is a bunch of lunatics.
