It's hard to apologize when you're team is 11-0 and in the driver's seat for an SEC and National championship but one is warranted here.

The actions on the field by the Auburn defensive linemen was ridiculous and inexcusable and as a fan I'm thoroughly embarrassed. Last night was a great chance to show the nation on national TV what Auburn stands for after two weeks of negative press and instead the Fairley and Co. acted like thugs.

For whatever it's worth, the beef in the game was strictly limited to Auburn's D-Line and Georgia's offense. After the game, almost all of Auburn's players met Georgia's players on the field and shook hands and exchanged hugs.

For the Auburn fans here that are going to flame me for posting this, frick off You're the walmart fans that you like to make fun of Alabama for. Pure trash. Don't bitch about Auburn being trashed on this site because you're the group that makes it easy for other fans to trash us.

i don't know who would. I haven't seen any Auburn fan saying that the altercations should have happened and Goggans and Blanc should definitely be punished.

Fairley should be reprimanded, no question about it.

I have a friend who is the brother of an offensive linemen on Auburn's scout team. He hates Fairley with a passion. He says he constantly smack talks and is extremely arrogant.

He has all the talent in the world but he needs an attitude adjustment. I hope it's addressed.

I'm fine with them trashing Auburn, I just wish they would at least be creative. Every hour, there's a new "Will Auburn get the Death Penalty" thread saying AU=SMU. It's getting repetitive.

I think I speak for most everyone on this board when I say all we want to hear from the Auburn fans about last night was a little regret and a little embarrassment for some of the actions that took place. You, sir, gave more than your fair share and I give you mad props for it

I concur. We`ve been so defensive since the cam stuff started that its wise to pick our battles wisely.

Nice post. None of the Auburn players did anything remotely "classless" other than Fairley IMO. That guy is like a sociopath playing football, but I didn't see anything else that people seem to think makes your entire team trashy

I'm glad to see Auburn fans that have the respect that we've come to expect in the SEC. Hopefully nothing else will come of this and the coaches will get it under control.

I happen to agree with what you posted and the way you wrote it. I too have said what happened at the end was not fun to watch as an Auburn fan...I also hated when Nick hit Murray in the back was an ugly scene. I will not dispute that. I just don't understand the pass of the chop blocks and other actions of GA.

By the way I disagree with you concerning other Auburn posters causing others to bash Auburn....The only way they don't bash you is if you completely agree with them.

I will not apologize for supporting my team without real proof and final results come from investigations. Nick Fairley in that game I cannot defend him and yes I may have at times in here out of anger, but at the end of the day I cringed at what I saw. The Cam newton deal and MSU I will not stand by submissively when they base their positon on dislike, innuendos, conjecture, and unnamed sources. I doubt many here would under the same circumstances facing their school of choice.

I do hate to flame or get into heated posting, I actually enjoy discussing football objectively with some fun trash talk when we go head to head. I joined just a little bit ago and all I have seen is attack after attack. I will admit I don't know the history of this board. Before the Cam stuff I would come and read the rant and laughed at some of the back and forth banter. Right now it is highly vitriolic bashing and for my posts to be acceptable I need to submit to the bashing and offer posts of agreement in what is being said?

I am sorry I cannot do that if it is not warranted. I will also add if at the end the result says Auburn cheated, Cam cheated, etc. I would be the first to apologize and accept any sanctions rendered towards AU. Anyway its all unfortunate because I have been proud being a fan in the SEC what I consider to be the greatest of College Football. Sorry for the length of the post.
