Tebow. And it isn't even close. He's a class act and everyone knows it. At least when the announcers were gushing over Tebow, you knew in your heart that what they were saying was true and you wished that he was on your team. When they try to talk about Newton's character, it makes you feel dirty inside.

With Tebow, a lot of people were hoping that something would come out about him that would be negative. With Newton, you wonder what will come out next.

I look at it like this. If your daughter were bringing a potential boyfriend home to meet you, would you rather her walk in with Tim Tebow or $cam Newton?

I'm honestly not sure who the better overall player is/was. Tebow was, in my mind, the better leader for a team while Newton is the better pure athlete. Before Saturday, I thought Newton's arm was questionable but damn did he gun some passes in that game.

As far as the stats of Tebow 07 vs Newton 10 go, I think that Newton will be very close if not over Tebow in yards but touchdowns will not be close. That is in part to a more wide open offense with more talent at receiver than Auburn does coupled with a little less tough schedule equals lots of touchdowns. I would think that Newton will get around the 50 touchdown mark though and that is pretty damn impressive.

If you can't see the obvious differences in them as people then there is no hope for you. When you grow up some day you will understand that his abilities as a football player Dont amount to much and make him nothing more than a great athlete. Tebow will be more successful in life n general because he cares about more than just himself

The fact you have to try and turn it into a character thing pretty much says it all.

Passing stats, you mean the guy who is 1st or 2nd in the nation in passing efficiency who threw every single pass he threw inch perfect yesterday and made it look effortless? Ask any defensive coordinator who they would rather face.

Once again, so would any defensive coordinator. If you really think Tebow has a better arm than Cam that shows a pretty astonishing lack of knowledge about football. No way Cam loses four games with 07 Florida or loses to anybody with what Tebow had to work with in 08 and 09.

Thats funny beacuse Tebow was 2nd in the nation in passing efficiency in 07, 4th in 08 and 1st in 09.

So where do you get >>>>>>>>>> from? How do you get >>>>>>>>> than the most efficient pass in the country? If not for two drops yesterday Cam would have completed every pass he threw for about 250 and 3 TDs. Not to mention his casual 150 on the ground.

you're obviously blinded by homerism and caught up in the moment. Florida in 2007 has 9 or 10 new starters on defense (along with tony effing joiner). that defense was young (mostly freshmen) and the reason behind 4 losses.....not the offense or tebow's fault (check his #'s).

and if you think newton has a better arm b/c of 8 games compared to tebow's 4 years, then you are the clueless one. you actually think cam is stronger than tebow

Tebow finished no worse than 4th in QB rating in his career.

Jesus Christ, you're dumb.

So you're saying Cam would have had better stats than Tebow did in 07?

I feel like I've never seen you post anything that isn't ridiculously, painfully stupid on this board. I hope for your sake that the idiocy you display here is an act.

Have you seen our defense? 07 AU pretty much shut Tebow down in the Swamp and we lost to South Florida and Miss St that year.

I could watch one game and see who has the better arm.

How much weight they list is irrelevant, Cam is just as good, if not better, than Tebow at short yardage. Tebow was great at getting 3 yards on 3rd and 2, Cam is great at doing that and can just as easily go for 20, 30, 40, 50... Tebow was not a threat to do that.
