My first post and thanks to all for digging up the truth. I have been following this day and night for four days.
Another first = the first time I will attend a CF game will be next Friday at BDS. It should be awesome or if all of this comes true just a cheering exercise. Hope they have good food. RTR

There is no doubt that information presented in this thread is juicy. But The NCAA could end this whole Cam Newton fiasco by doing one simple thing:
Interview the 'recruiter' to whom Cam supposedly admitted that 'the money was too much'. If that statement alone can be substantiated or even deemed believable on behalf of the 'recruiter' making the claim then this case is CLOSED! Newton participated with his father and thus is eniligible to compete in NCAA sanctioned athletics. Period.
All of the rest of it is irrelivant to the 2010 College Football Season which is quickly coming to a close.
As for Mike Slive and the SEC, it appears there is ample evidence for him to declare Newton ineligible based on existing SEC bylaws as posted in this thread and on the SEC Rant. Unfortunately, Slive has 17 million reasons to drag his feet. After all, I don't see anyone asking USC to return the money earned from BCS and from merchandise sales during the Bush ineligible season.
