Auburn will not sit him. These group of assclowns are all in and they are going to ride this horse until he collapses. when he collapses however, he is taking the entire program and all involved down with him.

I agree that he is going to play. If you sit him this game, then he is pretty much done for the season. There is nothing that is going to come out in the next week that will exonerate him. If anything, the story will only get worse so if Aub says that he shouldn't play this week, then I think it would be impossible to reinstate him at some point. Auburn would essentially have to voluntarily take themselves out of the national championship race. Thats not going to happen.

The only interesting thing would be if they were to not come out with a statement one way or the other. Then, just have him not start and see how you do against Georgia. If it looks like you can beat them without him, keep him on the sideline. That would give you another week to try to defend him and let him play before Alabama. You can say you didn't let him play but never actually ruled him ineligible.

However, since they didn't actually rule him he ineligible... if they start losing the Georgia game, they could always put him in the game at some point if need be since he was not ruled ineligible. Doubt this would happen, but its just a thought.

The program may be taken down, but ehe horse will leave the devestation behind while it rides off into the sunset (NFL) with a contract that will make the original payoff seem like pocket change.
