Go ahead and flame me, call me crazy and say i'm in denial.

Dont understand how you guys don't see how the events have unfolded.

With Cecil admitting this tonight, there would be no way AU would let him play tomorrow if they haven't already got the green light from the NCAA.

Flame, cant wait to bump thread

so it's your position that the NCAA will have no punishment at all for a players parent asking for 180,000?

I disagree. I think the tapes exist, which is why Cecil came clean.

You're right, if he plays everything is cool. The NCAA has packed up their stuff and gone home.

You do realize that even if Cecil asked for money from only MSU, that's an NCAA violation in itself right?

This will take months of investigating. The NCAA stated it was up to the institution to sit him. It's on Auburn's back right now.

So you really think that the NCAA has concluded that it's all right for parents to sale their children to the highest bidder as long as the kids don't know about it. WOW, with this green light by the NCAA, recruiting has just gone to a whole new level. Gentlemen, get you check books ready, it is on now!!!

i would agree. even though there have been clear violations --a father getting an agent to solicit on behalf of his son, it seems as if the NCAA is looking the other way ... for now.

but i would bet that this is far from the end. new information will continue to surface --just as it has been-- which in turn will force the NCAA to get more involved.

He thinks that if Auburn plays him, it means the NCAA said he was cleared.

Umm, how about Slive, the "Godfather" of the SEC, saying it was up to the institution whether or not to play him? Sounds like a Mafioso, saying, "it's your decision....but if it turns out you make the wrong one, I won't bail you out."
