that would be due to "the hat factor".

ha ha. First, it was a joke, hoss. Lighten up. My point was exactly what you've outlined below. In other words, I agree with you. It's the first sign from Auburn that they're not "all in." Dig?

Gotcha.

Not saying it's impossible but that would mean the Sugar Bowl taking a 10ish ranked BCS team over a team they lost to head to head with a 5 or 6ish BCS ranking.

5 or 6ish? I doubt we would be top 5 in BCS if we win out. I think the Sugar Bowl would take LSU over Ark even though we beat them. LSU is right there and will travel WAAAAY better than Arkansas would.

The history of Arkansas fans only traveling to the Cotton and Liberty Bowl and nowhere else will come back to haunt us this year.

I would hope so. The limiting factor is that the sponsors of the Sugar Bowl and the New Orleans hotels are going to lobby for who is going to travel better and stay longer.

I have no idea how well Arky travels but I can't imagine they travel better than LSU. But I know that even if I did not live in NOLA I'd stay with family instead of paying for a Hotel.

If we win out we'll be no worse than 8 in the BCS rankings. Depending on who loses I'd guess around 6.

Sugar has no tie-in with SEC other than SECC. If AU goes to BCSCG they can take whoever they want. They will NOT take a 2-Loss arky and probably not take a 2-Loss LSU either. Sugar: TCU v. wiscy:

The Sugar Bowl doesn't give an automatic bid to the "SEC #2" if they #1 is gone. Why is this so hard for arkies to understand?

arkies: you need Cam-gate to take out AU, you need the gumps to lose to AU, win out and beat LSU, and win the SECCG -- then you get in the Sugar Bowl. There are just too many 1-Loss BCS teams ahead of arky for the Cam-coattails theory to work.

Feel free to point out where I said the Sugar is required to take the SEC #2. Ill re-post the 1 sentence I wrote as to save you time scrolling up:

Ill be waiting patiently.

Just listened to a teaser segment for tomorrow's Gameday, and Herbstreit was all about how Cam needs to focus on the game--as if it were some outside distraction that he is having to deal with.
