I could care either way. Actually, it would work better for us and you to both win out and you go to the BCS Championship game while we go to the Sugar Bowl as the number 2 SEC team.

With that said, The rumors about Gus Malzahan and the way he recruits has been out there for a long time. He did it in High School and so I would 100 percent assume that he is doing it in college. He is what he is and Chiz too but then you have to ask yourself how a loser Iowa State coach comes to the SEC and wins out his 2nd season? It requires more than just recruiting talent. Go look in the mirror and then ask yourselves as the NCAA banishes your arse to the stone ages if 200 grand and a BCS title which is vacated was worth it? the USC fans say yes so then you may have something in common.

The only SEC tie-in with the Sugar Bowl is for the SEC champ correct? They don't have to take an SEC team if the champ goes to the BCSNCG. I also don't think they are obligated to take the "#2 SEC team". I think they could pick anybody they wanted, regardless of head-to-head record, as long as they ranked high enough in the BCS (#14?).

Odds are a 10-2 LSU and a 10-2 arky would both be left out of the BCS in your scenario and go to 2nd tier bowls like the Cotton and Gator. I also think the Sugar Bowl would take a 2-Loss LSU or Bama team before arky if they could (they won't this year), regardless of head-to-head records.

But a 2-Loss SEC team has gone to the Sugar before ('06)? Yes, but there are just too many 1-Loss (and 0-Loss and 2-Loss) teams ahead of both of us (assuming 2 L's each) right now, and there are only 4 BCS at large spots (and TCU and BSU eat up 2 of them). The PAC10, Big XII, or Big 10 will get 2 teams in this year (e.g. Stanford, tOSU, MSUn, etc.) and the SEC won't get a 2-Loss team in this year.

LSU is in if: Cam-gate happens, or if they win out and aubie goes to NC.

arky is in if: Cam-gate happens and they win out and the gumps lose to aubie. NOT if aubie goes to NC and they win out. You guys are most likely going to have to win your own conference before you get in a BCS bowl. (As it should be -- I would say the same about LSU in the BCSCG without winning the SEC).

Bowl projections for (your scenario) if arky wins out, aubie in NC, (and LSU goes 10-2):
