greater than anything the Bear did, greater, perhaps than winning national titles at two separate schools? By "this" I obviously mean essentially bringing about the demise of Bama's biggest rival, a nemesis of Georgia and LSU...Auburn.

Did fear of Saban drive Auburn to desperate measures?

I think a better question would be:

If Auburn gets probation, should Bama erect a statue of Cam Newton?

saban got tired of just killing teams by having coaches fired. he wanted to destroy the whole program

Saban orchestrated all this to distract everyone while he negotiated a $100M deal with Jerry Jones. The irony is, LSU will play Oregon in the opener next year at St. Saban Stadium...
