Lester, P. Jones, Kirkpatrick, Milliner, Menzie are all first year players.

Mathieu, Claiborne, Simon are all 1st year players for LSU and they have excelled in their 1st year.

Phelon Jones is a retreaded LSU product. He left because he saw the writting on the wall. He is a senior and learned under malveto

They also play a different defensive style.

Claiborne is a true sophomore and played limited time last year so his progress is incredible. And the other guys are usually not playing the #1 or #2 wide receiver. Much tougher for Milliner to come straight out of high school and be the #1 or #2 corner back week in and week out than it is for Mathieu to come in and play the nickel. Not hating on Mathieu just hard to compare.

And Simon? He has played in 3 games this year with very limited playing time. Maybe you mean Eric Reid or Craig Loston who play safety?
