IF we were running the ball close to as good as we did last Would be supremely confident in our ability to win the sec again but we aren't and this is supposed to be a great offense. If we can't get our running game going we will lose to Auburn, LSU and meybe even MsSt. This offense needs a spark

We had a slump last year too. We had a couple close games. We beat Tenn and then we'll have a bye week to get everyone healthy and ready for LSU. At this point, I'm not concerned about our running game. We got the horses we need.

My greatest fear is that Alabama runs the table, gets left out of the national championship game for Michigan State/Oklahoma/Oregon, plays Utah in the Suger Bowl and get our arse kicked by them again. That would be really, really embarrassing. A lot of people will blame Andre Smith's absence but a big reason why Alabama couldn't generate any offense was because Wilson always stared down his primary receiver and was completing incapable of going through his secondary reads. That's why he turned the ball over so many times. Defenders were always able to jump the routes. And the same problems are still happening with McElroy at QB. The only reason why McElroy doesn't turn the ball over as much as Wilson did is because McElwain calls for much safer, easier passes than Applewhite did.
