If we're cutting through Ole Miss' bullshite, we can just cut the quote off there. I sincerely doubt it's going to matter what you guys think or vote for, and that's almost as depressing as the fact that they deep-sixed Colonel Reb in the first place. All I can figure is they're trying to give the illusion that you actually have some kind of choice in the matter.

I suggest holding your breath and hoping that whatever they pick isn't too embarrassing.

I think there is going to be a re-vote from what I've heard. Heard there was a lot of negative talk about that Hotty Toddy representation. The Bear or the Shark I wouldn't mind that much if they were our mascot, because lets face it, they are both just animals that can tear things up and don't speak really for the university at large. But Hotty Toddy, it does speak for the university, but in the worst way possible. Its as if a Hillbilly were the mascot for Tennessee or Arkansas. I mean the university really wants the Hotty Toddy guy to be our mascot, despite the fact that he was completely booed when he appeared on our jumbotron last year? Pathetic.
