Does anyone expect Tennessee to turn this around right away. Fulmer struggling several years before he was let go, the Kiffen debacle and now Dooley who looks iffy right now should cause concern for UT fans. The ability to nationally recruit is hampered IMO if you go a period of 3-4 years of being down. Add to the fact their instate base is limited UT may have a tougher road back than some think! Today's kids have short memories and tradition doesn't carry teams as far as it used to.

DD is a punk & he's over his head as an SEC Head Coach. Ck. his record at La Tech. He beat ONE team with a winning record as a Head Coach. How in the hell is he an SEC Head Coach?

I think the Vols are 4-5 years from competing for the SECE again. 5 wins this year will be good. 6 wins next year will be okay. After that, I would expect to see 8-9 wins in 2012 and 2013.

I think if you look at the teams that played in Athens Saturday, UT only had one starter that could have started for Georgia (Janzen Jackson). That would be true for Fla, Ala, USC, and LSU as well. We have a long way to go.

Fulmer had two bad recruiting classes in his last four years. On top of that, 39 players have quit or been kicked off the team since Fulmer was fired. You can basically write off four entire recruiting classes in those numbers. Almost like getting the death penalty.
