re: Gameday at USCe and CBS carrying Bama/USCe

As a fan of one of those "other" teams, I hate the CBS suckfest as much as you do. For all the criticism of ESPN, their broadcasters seem to be genuine college football fans. And they know they are broadcasting to genuine college football fans. CBS, not so much.

CBS would rather be doing NFL games -- where the real money is. They hype their broadcasts to appeal to non-fans because they are non-fans; hence, the focus on big-name teams and celebrities. And the only thing more annoying than the endless commercials and celebrity cock-sucking is the reference to NFL rules (since viewers have apparently never actually watched a college game): "In college, pass interference is a 15-yard penalty." "Under the college rules the ball is downed where the ball ends up, not where the player ends up." "The college football overtime rules are . . . " "In college football, every play is reviewed in the booth."
