Uh, they are. When you have a heisman winning runningback and people are talking about his backup being even better (What SEC school would Richardson NOT start for other than Alabama?) then you have a historic backfield.

No they are capable of winning back to back BCS national championships- which has never been done before. Only a handful of times (10 or 15) has ANY team managed back to back poll championships. Get over yourself.

Well I am happy that Auburn has winning splits the last 5/10/15/20/25/30 years against the greatest college football team of all time.

I can think of multiple running backs that are just as good and maybe better than Bama's duo. That's not taking anything from them but ot say they are the best duo of all time is retarded.

It's probably already been mentioned, but they are absolutely not the best backfield ever.
