I say from a money stand point it would be adding Texas, Texas A&M, North Carolina, and Virginia Tech. It would expand the SEc to some huge media markets. I know this buy will most likely never happen though.

That would be too expensive.

Get ready, because I do believe (and I am always right) the SEC will get Texas and A&M.

I think we should stay just as we are because it works. Weve won more national championships than any other conference and our conference is undefeated in the MNCG. We make plenty of money for our schools. Ill be convinced when a conference actually does dethrone us as the best, rather than scream "expanded" because Kirk Herbstreit says the Pac 16 will now be the best there is.
So let everyone else do what they wanna do because there are still plenty of quality schools out there besides all the ones involved in all this expansion talk. Let the other conference be the guinee pigs and if it works and our elite status begins to be questions on the field, then we go and act!

Picking up Texas, A&M, both Okies delivers all of Texas and Oklahoma. Who do you think fans of those states want to watch on Saturday? West Coast teams or SEC?

why do we have to change? We have the best product on the field. Everyone else is changing to catch us. I say we wait and se what happens. All they have lost so far is CU and Neb so the big 12 still has ten teams, what if they pick up TCU and someone else?

Best of all possible worlds. Highly unlikely to happen. I see VT as the only possible reality among that group unless the Texas-Taggs west coast thing falls apart.

I don't want Texas or Oklahoma in the SEC. I'd be ok with Texas A&M.

OU fits better than both TX and A&M

They don't even want to join the SEC. They are going to follow (or lead) the mass exodus from the Big 12 to the Pac 10. Its virtually a done deal.

i say you package ou and a&m, texas doesn't want to be here. they can't be king. thus the two b.c.s. spots for the pac 10. they want virtually a garantee w/o playing a championship game.

then decide between miami, v tech, f.s.u., and north carolina or ga tech.

The problem is Texas will not go anywhere without Texas A&M.

I question if adding some teams actually will earn the conference more money.

We alreay have too many douche bags in Tuscaloosa. We don't need Longhorn fans too.

The texas, miami, virginia, and n.c. markets will increase revenue from t.v.

you get one of the texas schools and ou, you have the houston and dallas market wrapped up. 2 of the top five markets.

Best case scenario would be to add Texas, Oklahoma, Texas A&M and FSU. It will never happen.

This is correct, both for the sake of competition and TV markets.
