As for Georgia Tech, they were an original member of the Southeastern Conference and have actually won more SEC titles than UGA. A fact that GA Tech fans love to rub in the faces of UGA fans.

Neither team brings exposure or a larger market to the SEC. I am not against adding these two, but I am for adding two more prominent and market stretching schools as well.

Miami, GT, FSU and Clemson. None will do a lot for expanding the SEC market or exposure beyond what it already has.

Houston doesn't draw a lot of fans because of their crappy conference. When they play a major conference team it sells out and you can't get a ticket. SEC opponents would draw huge crowds. And it would help recruitng when a Houston kid could have his whole family at a game every other year. The SEC would get a huge market. There are more people in Harris County than the entire state of Louisiana.
