That's true, he's 2-4 against UF in his last 6 with a DJ Shockley injury away from being 3-3.

Lots of stupidity so far in this thread, like I imagined there would be. But to answer your original question, the reason UGA has taken a slide is because Willie is as in over his head as DC as Goff was a HC, and because discipline and fundamentals went out the window. BVG as the DC and LB coach bringing the fire and brimstone with Willie as a DC coach was perfect. When BVG left, it left the players' buddy Willie as the DC, which he isn't suited for in the first place. It also brought in Jancek as LB coach, who is one of the worst position coaches we've ever had. We had no fundamentals on defense and lacked discipline. The inmates ran the asylum, so to speak. Now all that mess is gone. We have a fiery, competent DC again and I fully expect us within 2 years to be back where we were. People saying Richt has lost it and will be gone in 3 years are absolute fools.

And please, to compare the QB coaching abilities of Shula and Richt is absolutely absurd. One has coached 2 Heisman winners, the record setter for all-time NCAA wins (since unseated), and the #1 overall pick in the NFL draft. What's the other done?
