quote:I think it is much closer than you percieve it to be. Payton gained a ton of notoriety by winning the SB, but Saban has been on the scene much longer. His scowling face has been on the cover of multiple Sports Illustrated's, as well as numerous other magazines including Forbes. He is also one of the most recognized figures in college football. His celebrity has been far greater to Sean Payton prior to the SB, and the focus on the Saints win was more on the players and the city than it was on Sean Payton. Also, I was in Seaside, FL last summer sitting at a packed wine bar right next to Sean Payton and no one in the place knew who he was. Saban would have stood out like a turd in a punch bowl.
So you honestly think more people know who Nick Saban is than Sean Payton? Seriously?

Not shocking from you either NOLA. Y'all really do think EVERYONE in the world gives a shite about Bama. Let me throw another name out there: Bill Belichick. He's been on the scene longer and has 3 Super Bowl rings. Who do you think is better known nationally?
