There’s a reason the SEC hasn’t released the league schedule for the 2010 season.
I don't know who is more delusional. The SEC office for acting as if no official schedule exists for this coming year and that schedules have not already been put out by all of the SEC teams or Chris Lowe for thinking the SEC has the power to force 11 teams to move around games this close to the start of a new season.

Although Franchoine won the SEC West in 2002, but Albert Means happened so we didn't get to go to Atlanta

Yes, it just happened that the one time Alabama bought a player in its entire history it got caught. I suppose the SEC should have told Alabama, "No problem, next time don't get caught committing the one infraction we can't overlook. Have fun in Atlanta, but next time we'll have to punish you."

The SEC office, who makes the SEC schedule for every team.

Exactly. So back to my original postulation. I wonder if they would have considered changed the schedule for Vandy, Kentucky or MSU?

You're right. One was a booster, the other was an actual coach allegedly guilty of things. Big difference.

You are right a rogue coach acting on his own and a booster being instructed by coaches is different, thanks for clearing that up

Just a hypothetical, but if LSU played 17 teams coming off bye weeks and Bama played 5 teams coming off bye weeks in a 4 year span, would LSU raise holy hell?

Since 2007, these are the number of SEC games played when the opponent had an open week prior to the game:

17—Alabama

5—LSU

The number of SEC regular season games Alabama has played since 2007 where the SEC opponent had a scheduled "bye" the week prior to facing Alabama is actually TEN (10) ... It would have been one thing if you were one or two games off, but you were SEVEN off of the actual number! And FWIW, over half of those ten were Auburn and Mississippi State with byes the week before the Alabama game.

when all else fails, just make shite up

Bama played 11 teams coming off bye weeks the past 3 seasons. In 2010, bama will play 6 teams coming off bye weeks. That equals 17. Which part of that is made up?
