you will never be able to accomplish what we have. In those thirty years we have accomplished soooo much more than you even though your win loss record is better. To me that says that at our worst we still accomplish more than you do at your best.

God this shite is retarded.. Fans of a program don't accomplish anything, but if you feel like you help and it inflates your ego then by all means continue.. But it seems to me you have entirely too much self-worth wrapped up in UA football..

Why do some people act like we all don't have a little too much emotional involvement in SEC football? If your team loses on a given Saturday, usually your weekend is ruined. You spend way too much money on tickets, food, and lodging following the team home and away. Buy memorabilia. Raise your kids to be fans. Have arguments with family members who happen to have went to another school. And join message boards, spending way too much time on it, while you could be more productive doing something else.

I could agree "most" or "some" people do, but "all" is a bit of a stretch.. If a loss in a football game that you have nothing to do with adversely affects your life for more than a few hours, you have too much self-worth vested in things beyond your control..

Umm, hard to be envious of a team you have beaten most of your life (30 years for me). Does not really make sense to envy being better than someone else your entire life and 2 of the last 3 deacades. Especially when you believe your university is superior in all aspects - academics, way of life, ect.

It makes sense to be envious when that team wins championshps and yours doesn't.

Keep telling yourself you guys are superior though. Afterall...someone has to go to that cow college.

I'm not going to jump off a cliff because Alabama lost, but I always get upset when they lose.

Exactly. If your team losing doesn't put a damper on your disposition for at least a day, then you aren't a true fan.

This. When AU loses, I'm disappointed for a few hours, then get ready to go out or do whatever it is I happen to be doing on a given Saturday night and move on. And on the flip side, when AU wins, it does not mean I am suddenly a more succesful person with a greater sense of self-worth either.

And those that go to that cow college will almost always be more succesful and make more money than those that went to the other school in the ghetto near west mississippi. Just a fact. AU grads at mid career are second only to UF in earnings. Bama was 7th I believe and most gumps never make it to college anyway.

I don't care what their premium board has. Those people are crazy. I swear to God that 90% of them fully believe that Alabama cheats in every single sport. I've seen someone on there accuse us of paying gymnasts to come here. Not all, but most seem to have a "we play by the rules while everyone else cheats" attitude.

Saban is going to leave Alabama and become the AD of Auburn in a few years. Then, we're going to rename our school University of Auburn. Then, we're going to pay off the NCAA to give Alabama the death penalty so that we can finally be #1 in our state. All Alabama fans will become Auburn fans and Auburn will prosper as the #1 college football team in the world every single year.

R.I.P. Tiders. You heard it here first.

and the beat goes on.

1. If we are tied over the last 30 years, Auburn has a couple (or just one?)of SEC championships and no Nat'l championships and Bama has 2 (or 3?) Nat'l championships and more SEC championships, using what alternate reality do we as Auburn fans say that we had a better 30 years?

2. If we are looking at the last 10 years, I give Auburn a slight edge because we are even on SEC championships, Auburn had an undefeated season and should have played for the Nat'l championship, Bama WON a Nat'l championship but Auburn has a strong edge in W-L. Very close decade though.

3. Not talking to all Bama fans here. Those of you that truly feel that most Auburn fans claimed a moral victory this past year are idiots just wanting to perpetuate their idea of what an Auburn fan is...it's much easier for a simple mind to make sense of that. Was it easier to swallow than the arse whooping Auburn got in 2008? OF COURSE IT WAS! Was it encouraging to see that the team was making progress, as evidenced by a few things, not the least of which, giving a very talented, very well coached eventual Nat'l championship winner all they can handle? Of course! The VAST majority of Auburn fans know that we missed a golden opportunity and bottom line, at the end of 60 mins, we lost the game.

4. Same goes for the same Bama fans like to associate the "People's Nat'l Champions" with all Auburn fans. We were, like any true SEC fan, pretty furious that an undefeated SEC team did not get to play for the Nat'l championship. BUT, we also know that it was the system that we had, and regardless of the circumstances, and as bitter a pill as it was, we understand that we didn't win the Nat'l championship by any measure. Close, but no cigar. So whoever started that thread asking about the "People's Nat'l Championship" going to the White House, thanks for making it easier for the rest of us to see what an idiot you really are. Reminder: you are a fan, you didn't actually play for the team. You sat in your hand-me-down lazy boy with a cheap, lukewarm beer, and got to ignore what an utter failure your life has been for 4 hours. Keep on dreamin', Gump, and keep flying your Bama flags (2 months after the game) to your dead end job where you do just enough to get by and probably work for an Auburn fan. Don't forget to pull out your Yankees cap from the closet, it's almost baseball season!

5. Cow college? Really? Did this come from the book of "what to say when I don't have one creative brain cell in my skull"? What you say often times doesn't say nearly as much as the context in which it's said. For instance here, Auburn fans didn't hear "cow college". They heard that you have no originality and the smartest thing that Coach Bryant ever said (other than "I ain't never been nuttin' but a weiner" which also screams brain power) was that Auburn should be shamed for having an agricultural school. Excellent.

6. Let me point out what I have said many times before: some of the best people I know are Bama fans and not the people I am addressing above. You are defined by your words and your actions. Defining someone's character on what friggin school they root for is beyond retarded. Yet Auburn fans and Bama fans alike continue to do it.

Are you seriously trying to quote "mid-career" earnings for the various SEC schools in an attempt to put down UA?

I have also never understood why the Barners always argue their fan base is comprised of a higher percentage of alumni. I graduated from UA, and I see nothing wrong with someone who didn't attend Bama rooting for UA. You all act as if a fan didn't attend the school that he or she cannot root for them. Way to be assholes...

I guess that doesn't include the hundreds of lawyers and doctors the UA system churns every year. Not to mention the engineers, business majors, etc. I don't doubt Auburn grads do well for themselves, on the average, but trying to down play a degree from UA, because one is butthurt, and tries to portray an aura of superiority for some unknown reason, is idiotic.

I think this is the second time I've seen you post that, and I can't help but believe that all of those gumps you talk about that never made it to college know that Tuscaloosa is not anywhere close to "West Mississippi", you fricking retard. Now, sit down and STFU with your incoherent flame attempts.
