How come SEC teams don't play Notre Dame more often?

I've been looking at Notre Dame's all-time record against conferences and noticed Notre Dame has played fewer games against the SEC than any other conference and it's not even close. LINK

Hell, even the Mountain West has played more games against Notre Dame. Why is that? Is it Notre Dame or the SEC? I mean who wouldn't want to see an Alabama-Notre Dame matchup in the future? It would be great seeing the two greatest programs in CFB history square off again. What's preventing it from happening?

Notre Dame fricking sucks. We have our own T.V. contracts now, don't need their T.V. $

Notre Dame doesn't want to play the good SEC programs and they wont agree to a home and home with a crappy SEC school. Thread finished.

NOTRE DAME VS. THE SOUTHEASTERN CONFERENCE

• Notre Dame has won 60 percent of its games (19-13-0) vs. teams that currently make up the Southeastern Conference, with 17 of those games coming vs. LSU (10) and Tennessee (7).

• Tennessee was the only meeting Notre Dame had against an SEC opponent in 04 and the first contest against an SEC school since the Irish lost to the Volunteers by a 28-13 score on Nov. 3, 2001.

• Notre Dame owns a .500 or better record against five of the eight SEC teams it has faced.

• The Irish are 7-7 all-time on the road against current SEC teams.

• Tennessee (5-2) and Georgia (1-0) are the only SEC schools to have winning records against Notre Dame.

• Notre Dame has played the following SEC schools: Alabama (5-1), Florida (1-0), Georgia (0-1), LSU (5-5), Mississippi (1-1), South Carolina (3-1), Tennessee (2-5) and Vanderbilt (2-0).

We've tried, but they refuse to do a home-and-home. They want neutral field games for big match-ups.

It's not the SEC, it's Notre Lame, who doesn't want any part of the SEC. They go to great lengths to dodge the country's most powerful conference.

You care about Notre Dame? I know here in Mississippi, no one gives a shite about them. We don't need that nonsense.
