The gist I get is this: It's okay for any player to de-commit from a school and go to Alabama, but not okay for any player to de-commit from Alabama and choose another school.

Am I missing something?

No. That's not the gist. Since you're just back from scholars bowl or whatever I'll fill you in. Mr. Region committed to Alabama on Tuesday, he called Saban last night and told him that the commitment was still firm. Region gets to Cullman High School, talks to the media who are there, and tells them that Alabama is where he is going to school and that it was his dream to go there, etc. There is an Alabama banner behind him, there are nothing but Alabama fans in the crowd. People who cover Auburn recruiting aren't even there. He picks up the Alabama hat, puts it on his head, throws it off, and then picks up the Auburn hat. He then goes on and bashes Alabama when, just minutes before, he praised them.

I have no problem with a player de-committing from Alabama and committing someplace else. It's part of the recruiting process. What I, and most Bama fans on here, are pissed about is HOW he de-committed. He should have called off his press conference, called Saban, and then scheduled another one to commit to Auburn.
