That is what we are talking about!!!

If we were to break into Texas, our media reach would automatically double. This allows us to take home much more money for each conference member...

sorry I thought your post read differently: i thought you were saying expanding to 14 was automatically a better idea.

In general i think 12 is better because it is the minimum required to have an exemption eligible conference championship game and as the big east basketball experiment may have shown adding a lot of schools to a power conference (even when most are pretty good) means some good programs are going to finish ranked pretty low in conference and may not do anyone any favors

As others have pointed out, even some pretty successful schools from big states like Texas may not add much money to a power conference
