I've been ragging on him nonstop. Turns out Jevan had a legit (Hootie Nutt, QB Killah, Arky fans)reason to leave. I wish the best of luck to him in his pro career, and the best of luck to his family.

Turns out it was a money issue.
I didn't know that.

In the works.

We have Rising RS Sophomore Nathan Stanley and Rising RS Sophomore Raymond Cotton on campus.

Juco RS Sophomore Randall Mackey will join the team later on.

The battle will be between the three.

Nathan is a 6'5" Pro-style QB from Oklahoma. He's the only one of the three who has actually played for Ole Miss. Raymond Cotton was an elite 11 dual-threat QB from Marlyland. He has 4.5ish speed and is 6'4" 230. Think black Tim Tebow, he's who I'm hoping will win the job. Randall Mackey is going to be our Wild Rebel. He won a championship at bastrop, if I'm not mistaken. He's only 6'0" but has 4.4 speed.
Should remind you of Brent Schaeffer, except we'll actually use him like he should be used.

Any QB under nutt will be decent at best. I don't see any Matt Jones type players going through ole miss any time soon. MJ wasn't a great QB he was just a great playmaker. Nutt coached teams will always run well though. It can wear teams out. I don't look for Ole Miss to be very good at all next year.

Played against him in high school down here in Mobile before he moved...very good athlete and can manage an offense well.

I think it will be Cotton. Had my weekend set up to go up for the weekend baseball series against LSU and catch the Grove Bowl. I just found out that they moved the Gove Bowl up a week and screwed my plans up.

Glad to hear it.
His pure athletic skill is certainly impressive.
I don't expect him to throw the ball as well as Jevan Snead, but I do expect him to throw less than 20 interceptions.

Ole Miss was a very very good football team this year.
The only teams that had worse QB ratings were Vandy and State.

Those teams stayed at home during the holiday season, while we finished ranked #20.

Their sked is very favorable next year....they should win at least 7 games with no problem next year....they have alot of starters back on D and their d wasn't too bad...I think they play Jax St, UK, Vandy, Fresno State, ULL, Miss State and AU all at home....

So will you guys officially move to the wishbone or run the wildrebel full time?

I do not see a legitimate passing attack from QBK but I see a very tough running attack complimented by occasional passes. The challenge will be staying out of 3rd and long here QBK is truly miserable.
