I don't really think there was much other choice. Everyone else turned you down and you had to have a coach. Dooley could be good, then again, he could fall on his face.

Have you ever been to Ruston? Unless you're super baptist, there is nothing in that town. It was a dry county not that long ago. It's a good school, but try getting athletes to go there, it's not easy

Dooley is the diamond in the rough. He'll be a good coach. When he was the SpecTeams coach at LSU everyone was saying that. Young guy. He'll be special.

Not a very fair assessment. Losses to California, LSU,Ole Miss, Auburn, Navy, Boise St just off the top of my head. Pretty good considering the competition.
