It isnt that he is overrated, it is just that we cant tell how good he is while at Texas. Texas can make any average joe look good with the athletes wanting to be Longhorns since birth.

He was however really good at UNC before arriving at Texas

Mack was 69-46-1 at UNC when the ACC was arguably a worse conference that it is now (1988-1997). That's a 0.5991 winning percentage...a number that would likely get you fired in the SEC.

I think he's an adequate coach and he should have done better at UT than he's done.
