Saban said he's had the rib problem for a while. He played with it during the SEC Championship game and did OK.
Bad ribs wasn't the reason he stunk it up in the NCG. His receivers either weren't getting sufficiently open, or he was too afraid of being intercepted to stick the ball in there.

he did NOT have the rib injury during SECCG. It was 2 weeks ago. but Texas's secondary was extremely good.
