No, now you are moving over into excuse territory.
USM is not "major"--they play in CUSA.
Alabama has two SEC programs that manage to compete at a high level, despite having two other D-1A programs in the same state (and UAB beat USM this season, so don't give me any bull about USM being "major" and UAB not being so)....this despite having roughly the same population as Louisiana, only half the population of Georgia, and only a quarter of the population of Florida.....
And I could use plenty of other examples, as well, to make the same point......

Alabama has more than double the population of MS. You forgot to add that.

ok maybe not, but they are a program that goes to bowls every year unlike uab
