meh, I hate that line of thinking. Unless you've got players from other SEC schools taking the field with Bama, you're not winning shite for the SEC. But we do appreciate the large sums of money that come from revenue sharing.

bama's had to piggy back on everyone else's success for so long they are just praying people will piggy back on their's this year.

Well in my opinion it's playing for SEC pride. We boast that we have the best conference in the nation(in which I think that statement is true) but a Bama win would make us the 3rd SEC team since 2003 to win the NC. So in my opinion a win for Bama is also a win for the SEC. Just as it would be if anyone else in the SEC won the NCG. If we can win this game then the SEC can go at least 50% on NCs for this decade.
