many recruits are still 17

True, but with the school entry cut off date changed to around Oct. 1 in many school districts they have fewer and fewer of these 17 year olds college freshman. To be honest most athletes are 18 and many are 19 their freshman year. Many if not most really good athletes are held back or older in my experience and I see alot of it. My son is his right age in high school and he has many guys a full year and a half older than him playing in his same grade.

Does anybody else think that maybe daddy might also be getting benefits from this deal, and he doesn't want those benefits to end?

Just saying.
